If you really want to get out there, join us on a small bush-plane as we fly up into the mountains. Here you'll get a taste of truly remote Alaska! This trip is offered on a custom basis only, contact us with your dates to check availability. Check the Trip Planner for scheduled departures or think about adding one or more of these trips to a Custom/Exclusive itinerary. All trips start and end in Anchorage. Raft, Climb and Trek We'll pick you up in Anchorage and head straight out of town for some hiking in the Chugach or Talkeetna Mountains, looking for great views and wildlife. Tonight you'll enjoy an Alaskan-style barbecue at our homestead and Base Camp...and soak those hiking muscles in our wood-fired hot tub. Day 2 will start with a great scenic drive up the Matanuska Valley. At the Matanuska Glacier you'll put on mountaineering crampons and spend a few hours exploring this awesome river of ice. This afternoon you'll be rafting the big and cold river flowing from the glacier that carved (and named) this spectacular playground. Spend the night camping with a great view of the glacier and join our Guides for dinner at "sunset". Day 3 is for ice climbing, and our step by step approach will have you getting vertical in no time. A great challenge with fantastic photo ops. What a way to end a quick Alaska adventure before returning to Anchorage.

Sea Kayaking After meeting you in Anchorage, we'll look for Beluga Whales, bald eagles, and mountain sheep as we take one of the most scenic drives in the world to our kayak put-in on Prince William Sound. The afternoon will be spent paddling past waterfalls and bird rookeries to our campsite in the rainforest. Day 2 will be a full day paddling! Our goal is Blackstone Bay where we paddle past huge tidewater glaciers. It's an ambitious goal but we still have time to look for wildlife. After a short paddle on the last day we're picked up by a water taxi for a quick ride back to town. The Raft, Climb & Trek plus Sea Kayaking
are combined into the new | Fly-in Adventure Take in the beauty of the Chugach or Talkeetna Mountains in an awesome, remote location. Enjoy a scenic drive from Anchorage then board a small bush plane for an exciting ride. The flight alone is an unforgettable experience! You'll spend spend 3 days and two nights camping in the wilderness, looking for wildlife and exploring a stunning piece of the "real" Alaska. As far away from it all as you can get in three days.
