Day 1 - Meet in Anchorage, spectacular drive to Whittier for the start of 3-day sea kayaking trip in Prince William Sound.
Day 2 - Continue kayaking to Blackstone Bay
Day 3 - A short paddle trip then pick up by water taxi for return to Whittier. Dinner out and relax with a hot shower and comfy bed in an inn in the coastal town of Seward.
Day 4 - A Wildlife Viewing Cruise is a great opportunity to look for more marine life, possibly even whales.
Day 5 - An overnight backpacking trip to get away from it all.
Day 6 - Backpack out and soak your muscles in the wood-fired hot tub at our homestead.
Day 7 - Glacier trekking on the spectacular Matanuska before returning to Anchorage.
This relaxing itinerary combines a couple of backcountry experiences with a visit to the town of Seward for some comforts.
This itinerary is easily modified with additional nights at an inn or B&B.
Challenge: 3-4, Some primitive camping while sea kayaking and backpacking.
Accommodation: 1 night in an inn or B&B, 2 nights in campgrounds, 2 nights primitive camping.
