Alaska employment opportunities

Don has worked in Antarctica for many winter seasons since 1996 when he started there as a snow shoveler for $330 a week.

Since that first year, he has worked as Helicopter Crewman, Fuels Operator, Camp Manager and a Driller on a major science project at the South Pole.

The winter season work on "the Ice" actually enabled Exposure Alaska to get established as a successful business.

Most recently, he was the Camp Manager for a team of Aviation Engineers that dug up, rebuilt and flew out a DC-3T that went down a year earlier. "Lydia" was located at approximately 5000' on the Holtanna Glacier, on the South Africa side of Antarctica.
