This trip packs in all the best of Alaska...but with enough to time to get out away from the van and really experience your trip instead of just taking snapshots. We'll visit spectacular coastal areas by small sight-seeing boats as well as getting up close in sea kayaks. You'll have the opportunity to fish for huge halibut, hike temperate rainforests, kayak Prince William Sound, trek on a glacier, see the spectacular wildlife of Denali, raft a raging Alaskan river and even try ice climbing! |

Adventure Details The following proposed itinerary will give you some idea of the possibilities: Day 1 - Meet in Anchorage, after a gear check and orientation, we'll head south, driving along spectacular Turnagain Arm to the town of Seward. We'll check out Exit Glacier and hike up to the Harding Ice Field...snow and ice as far as you can see! Day 2 - Half the day you'll look for whales, eagles, sea lions, sea otters and hundreds of sea birds as you cruise on a comfortable sight seeing boat. The remainder of the day we'll hike in the rainforest and perhaps check out the spawning salmon. Day 3 - Halibut fishing! You'll enjoy a comfortable bed after a day on the water. Days 4 - 9 We head to western Prince William Sound for a sea kayak trip through the bays, coves and sometimes icebergs as we explore calving tidewater glaciers. At the end of this kayak expedition you'll appreciate a great meal in a restaurant, a hot shower and a comfy bed. Day 10 - That comfy bed will quickly be forgotten as we spend the morning white water rafting on the spectacular Matanuska. (Dry suits provided!) That afternoon we'll explore the Matanuska Glacier, the source of all that raging cold water. Try ice climbing! Day 11 - We travel towards Denali National Park via the Denali Highway, stopping to camp along the way. Days 12-13 We explore Denali National Park, hiking and by bus deeper into the park. Heaps of wildlfe! Days 14 We head back to Anchorage, arriving in time for a dinner of gourmet pizza and our favorite micro-crafted frothy beverage.
